Crisis Connection's 2008 Rock 'n Bowl
On October 11, compassionate individuals and civic-minded business leaders, together with families, will join together to have fun and raise funds for Crisis Connection, a Twin Cities-based organization providing mental health counseling and support by telephone throughout the state of Minnesota, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
BENEFITING:
The Bowl-A-Thon is Crisis Connection’s largest annual fundraising event. Money raised supports the only service in Minnesota that can immediately assess the needs of a caller in crisis, de-escalate the matter so that it is no longer an immediate crisis, and then help the caller decide what to do the next hour and the next day to get things going in a better direction. In addition to free, anonymous and confidential counseling by phone, Crisis Connection provides professional and volunteer training in crisis counseling and intervention; community education including suicide prevention awareness for adolescents and other vulnerable populations; and job support services for individuals transitioning from welfare to work.
WHAT’S NEW IN 2008:
We’ve moved to a new location for the 12th Annual bowl-a-thon event, Brunswick Zone in Brooklyn Park. We’re excited about the new location with tons of bowling, amazing silent auction items, and the other fun activities the bowling center has to offer, this afternoon is guaranteed fun for everyone! We’ve also moved the event to the afternoon to better accommodate families. Finally, our Rock ‘n Bowl theme is also a fun new twist on this annual fundraising event.

Crisis Connection’s 12th Annual Rock ‘n Bowl

Bowling Shifts: 1:00pm – 3:00pm OR 3:30pm – 5:30pm

ATTENDEES:
Young and old are invited to share in a Rock ‘n Roll themed afternoon of bowling, socializing, and fun to raise money for Crisis Connection. Participants are asked to form teams and raises pledges in advance, and then join together October 11, 2008 dressing as their favorite rocker (costumes optional) as we celebrate the money raised with an afternoon of silent auctions, bowling, and prizes!
TICKETS:
There are no admission tickets; however each person must raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to participate with a recommended pledge goal of $250 per person or $1000 per team. You can get more information and register for the Bowl-A-Thon online.
Prizes
Based on total pledge amounts collected by individuals
- $250 – Raise only a few more dollars and you receive all of the below levels and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing! One entry for every $250 dollars raised.
- $100 – The below AND receive the coveted Rock ‘n Bowl T-shirt!
- $50 – Entry to the event & receive a bottomless glass of soda
