Teams
Team up to promote changed lives in the Treasure Valley! Each team has 5 bowlers. We are asking every bowler to help Chrysalis by raising a minimum of $50 for a total team contribution of $250. But don’t stop there! We will have prizes for the team that raises the MOST money for Chrysalis! This year the teams theme is “Dress for the 80’s”. There will be a prize for the best dressed team!
Company Sponsored Teams
Your company can sponsor a team of five for $350 that includes team registration, a banner with your company’s name/logo which will be hung over your lane and your company will be advertised in our event brochure, and announced at event!
Team Theme Prize
Totally 80’s theme! Bowlers should dress like its the 80’s. So, break out the hairspray and go back to the day of metal bands and big hair.
Team Captains are organizers and cheerleaders in one!
The Team Captain will:
STEP 1 – GET YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN PACKET: Contact Mandi Bingham (see contact info below) to retrieve your team captain job duties packets which contains: Bowler info sheet (make copies as needed), Event flyer, Business Owner Donor info, and raffle tickets to sell.
STEP 2 – REGISTER YOUR TEAM: Pick a name for your team, then register your team at www.bowlathon.net, and click on Chrysalis Bowl-a-thon. Click on Register Your Team. This is where you will be able to keep track of your team members and donated money! YAY!!! Find 4 other people who have a passion for giving. Let them know to dress like they were in the 80’s and that they could win one of the costume prizes. PLEASE ENCOURAGE THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! IT MAKES IT LOTS MORE FUN!
STEP 3 – FIND YOUR BOWLERS: Each bowler pays or collects $50 to play. Instruct them to register at www.bowlathon.net, click on Chrysalis, then your team name, and enter their name and payment. YAY!
Instruct your team members to canvas their network of friends, family, neighborhood, etc. to collect donations to secure their spot. Don’t just stop at $50!!! Encourage your team members to ask for $10 from 10 people, and they will have raised $100 for Chrysalis! YOU ARE WORKING ON WINNING THE BIG PRIZE FOR MOST DONATIONS COLLECTED ABOVE $500 (also see step 4). PLUS, remind the donors that ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTABLE TO 33-0774719.
ANYONE can donate at www.bowlathon.net, where donors/team members/companies can pay with a credit card and apply the donations on behalf of an individual bowler or team.

STEP 4 – GET OUT AND GET YOUR RAFFLE TICKET SALES ON!!!!!!
You will want to encourage your team to get out there and sell some raffle tickets. We will be sending out the details on the specific raffle items and pricing for the tickets as it gets closer to June. THIS WILL ADD TO THE INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM TOTAL MONEY RAISED.
STEP 5 – REMINDERS: REMIND YOUR TEAM TO SHOW UP AT PINZ INSIDE WAHOOZ FAMILY FUN ZONE ON JUNE 10, 2017 at 12:45pm. Call your team members prior to the event and arrange to meet them 15-30 minutes before the event begins at 1pm. ALSO, REMIND YOUR TEAM TO DRESS LIKE THEY WERE IN THE 80’s BECAUSE YOU WANT TO WIN THE TEAM THEME CONTEST PRIZE! Let your team know to check in at the counter and receive their event envelope.
STEP 6 – SHOW UP: Get there at least 30 min before 1:00pm, this way you’ll be there to welcome your team. A current resident or graduate from Chrysalis will be waiting at counter to greet you as well as team members as they show up. They will personally escort you to your special WINNING lane.

About Our Organization
CHRYSALIS – FREEDOM.
At Chrysalis, we work hard each day to help women find freedom. Freedom to become people of value, to emerge from addiction, abuse and alienation, and to realize themselves as God’s unique creations.
A SAFE HOME.
In response to the overwhelming needs of women released from prison who were seeking life change, Marsha Tennyson founded Chrysalis Transitional Living in the fall of 2001. In the years since, Chrysalis has helped women take the necessary steps away from their former destructive lifestyles and toward independence by teaching, nurturing and requiring accountability. Each woman who chooses to live at Chrysalis receives a stable home environment, volunteer mentors and case managers, job and life skill training, and celebrations for birthday and holidays. All of this is accomplished in an environment of structure, understanding, support, and encouragement. The women participate in weekly life skills classes, observe curfews, share in maintaining the household, attend a religious service of their choice each week, and submit to random drug testing.
We are excited for our Chrysalis Bowl-A-Thon 2017! With the funds raised from our event, each and every person will be participating in helping return these daughters, mothers, and sisters to their families with newfound and lasting freedom!
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- To provide transitional living and interim support and services for women at risk of institutional placement, women transitioning from institutional settings, homelessness, or coming out of detox or other treatment facilities.
- To provide Life Skills classes that are designed to enhance personal and family skills for work and home, reduce marriage/family conflict and develop attitudes and capabilities that support the adoption of healthy, recovery-oriented behaviors and a healthy re-engagement with the community.
- To provide an enriched Christian environment where healing and spiritual growth can occur.
- To provide case management and recovery support services to residents to achieve wellness and autonomy through advocacy, planning, linking, communication, education, resource management and service facilitation.
- To rehabilitate the resident so they may re-engage with the community and become discharged from Chrysalis within 6 to 18 months from date of entry.
